Great bike rental near Centraal Station, we hired Sparta granny's with handbrakes for 2 days and had no issues. I emailed in advance to reserve helmets at a small cost. Upon arrival you will be given the locks and the staff will fit you up with a bike. If it is your first time cycling in the Netherlands they will teach you the basics. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The bikes don't look to "Touristy" so you will fit in like a local!
We only had two days in Amsterdam and we wanted to do what the locals do so we hired bicycles! We found that booking and paying was easy and the staff were really friendly and happy to answer our questions. We enjoyed our coffee and sweet before the ride and loved that there were racks of pre-loved clothes to sift through beforehand too!
All in all, a very good service with fair fees and located very close to Central Station.
We preferred to cycle out of the busy city centre and headed out along a path by the river to see a windmill and have a picnic lunch in a park. It was so good to be on bikes.
They were so sweet and helpful with our bike rental. They provided locks and showed you how exactly to use them and gave advice based on where we were biking to.
Their coffee is also quite good and they have a really cute spot to enjoy it upstairs
I’ll definitely use them again if I need a rental bike in amsterdam (or just for the coffee)
We had a great experience renting bikes from Starbikes. They stored our cruise luggage which was very convenient. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy Uber from their store (make sure you set your pick up point as Starbikes). Also Google Maps directions to them was not the best.

I am so happy I booked my bike rental with Starbikes and I will be using them again next time I visit. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They showed me how to use my bike and locks and I really felt trusted and respected. The shop itself is very cool and unique. I had some coffee before I took off with my bike and explored the upstairs. The bike was fantastic and in great condition. I rented an electric bike for four days and never had to charge it once (though I kept it in the city and never went above 3). The location is central and easy. Thanks very much!
